Rufino Velazquez is chief of staff for Evergreen. He has dedicated his career to building, growing, and supporting teams across a number of industries with a focus on kindness, levity, equity, and joy. Realizing he could no longer be a bystander to the climate crisis, he joined Evergreen’s mission to fight for climate action. Raised in South Texas and a resident of both coasts, you can usually find him playing guitar and drums, riding his bike, or exploring (and plogging) hiking trails.
