Craig was senior vice president for Evergreen from June 2023 to January 2025. He supported the team in developing egalitarian, pro-democracy climate policy. He has spent his career in climate policy and advocacy, working to build the power needed to put good ideas into practice. He finished nearly a decade in state government as deputy executive officer of the California Air Resources Board, where his team developed the world's most ambitious vehicle electrification rules, moved billions to underserved communities to support cleaner air, and steered a multi-state campaign to protect environmental laws under assault by the fossil fuel industry. He began his advocacy career as an attorney on the Sierra Club's Beyond Coal Campaign after clerking with Judge Marsha S. Berzon. He lives in Oakland with his family.
