In response to the temporary restraining order issued in federal court preventing EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin from illegally clawing back Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF) grants, Evergreen Action Executive Director Lena Moffitt released the following statement: 

“Today, a federal judge stated what has been clear from the beginning: Zeldin’s EPA has failed to provide any real evidence to back up its conspiratorial accusations. Congress passed a law mandating the distribution of these investments to deliver cost savings and expand access to cheaper cleaner energy, and that’s exactly where they were going before Lee Zeldin got involved. Today’s ruling is an important initial victory but the businesses and communities that are counting on this program don’t deserve to be strung along any longer. It’s time to unfreeze the funds.”
