Position Summary
Evergreen seeks a full-time Fundraising Director to help us continue scaling our high-impact, dynamic climate advocacy organization. The primary responsibilities will include identifying and effectively pursuing new c3 and c4 fundraising opportunities, maintaining and deepening relationships with our current funder base (including both individual and institutional donors) through communications and direct outreach, working with our digital team to build our grassroots fundraising program, and project managing our internal processes to ensure seamless, timely submission of grant proposal and reports. This will also include working with our leadership team to help us write compelling grant proposals and funder pitches.

What You Will Do
- Maintain and deepen our relationship with current funder base through materials and direct outreach, to ensure renewals and expansion
- Craft a fundraising strategy for Evergreen to help us resource our organization to achieve our goals
- Identify and effectively pursue new fundraising opportunities
- Lead proposal writing and grant reporting processes, including through successful collaboration and project management with leadership to ensure successful and timely completion of materials
- Establish internal systems for donor tracking and communications
- Help grow our grassroots fundraising efforts, in collaboration with our digital team
First-Year Milestones
- In your first 90 days you will have:
- Familiarized yourself with all existing grants and sources of major donations, begun identifying new fundraising opportunities, and established an effective tracking system.
- Outlined a new, regular plan of communication with all existing donors to update them on our exciting work in a compelling and timely fashion, and crafted an initial communication to our existing donors to introduce yourself and update them on our ongoing work at Evergreen.
- Worked with the leadership team to craft at least one grant proposal
- In 6 months you will have:
- Led us through successful submission of any necessary grant reports and completed new proposals as solicitations arise.
- Identified and made progress with at least three new fundraising opportunities.
- In 1 year you will have:
- Successfully secured renewals, including multiple multi-year commitments and new fundraising opportunities to help us grow our annual budget by at least 25%.
What You Bring

- 5+ years of experience in fundraising for a non-profit advocacy or comparable organization; climate experience preferred but not required.
- Excellent project management skills and ability to collaboratively and clearly lead multiple stakeholders to successful completion of numerous projects simultaneously.
- Ability to handle multiple projects at once and attention to detail.
- An ideas-generator mindset, and ability to ideate something new and see it through completion.
- Passion for progressive causes, understanding of the climate crisis and policy landscape a plus but not necessary.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary: $115,000 - $125,000 per year
Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package that includes 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance for employee and dependents, 3% employer match on retirement contributions, and paid holidays, vacation, sick, and volunteer time off.
